Meanwhile on planet Earth...

You'd have to be dumbest thief in the history of dumb thieves not to immediately restore stolen smartphone to factory defaults.

An alternative app...

...is Cerberus. This can be downloaded as usual from the Play store, but if you are rooted, you can download a file from their website which can be installed in such a way that it will survive a factory reset. It actually takes the ROM being reflashed to get rid of it, and can also be hidden from the app drawer.

Whats the difference between this and googles standard device tracking system? No thief worth his salt will wonder around with a phone they have just stolen switched on so it can be tracked like this. I guess this might be useful if your phome has been mislaid somewhere.

Best Application for this need!!

LockItTight is better for Android devices and Windows based laptops. this must have app is more secure, reliable, less intrusive and very easy to use along with this they have best support too. definitely is recommended.
