Take control of your house with Home Remote

Hawking Technology has announced its Home Remote system, which will let you take control of your home from anywhere in the world. The Home Remote Gateway connects to your broadband connection, so it can be remotely controlled, and controls your home appliances and devices using the Z-Wave RF technology.
A starter pack will come with a Gateway, Home Remote Door Sensor, and a Remote Lamp Module and cost £299. There's also a monthly £7.99 fee for using the Home Remote service. Hawking also plans to release other modules including Light Dimmers, Electrical socket, cameras, door sensors and motion sensors.
Home Remote is also compatible with a wide variety of Z-Wave products including automatic window shades from Techniko, garage door openers from Wayne Dalton and heating controls from Danfoss. The product should be released with the next month and we'll be reviewing the kit in full soon.
