We've never seen a USB lead with an off switch before, so IXOS can claim at least one first for its iPod dock cable. The switch in question is stiff to move and seems to disable the entire cable. Most people would find it more useful if it stopped data transfer while keeping the USB power connected, as this would enable the iPod to charge without iTunes taking control of it. As it is, simply unplugging it from the PC is quicker and easier.

The cable is retractable, but it's no more compact than the standard Apple lead when coiled and it feels more fragile. It's not much cheaper than the official lead, either, so it doesn't seem worthwhile.
