Product ReviewsRemovable Storage
Freecom's ToughDrive XXS is a pocket-sized hard disk about the size of a lighter. Its appearance isn't to our taste, but it feels sturdy. A flexible USB connector is tucked away in a crevice at the top of the unit, although a USB extension cord is included for plugging it into recessed ports. The included compression, synchronisation and password protection software is useful, but it's nothing you can't find elsewhere. The read/write performance is in line with what we would expect. Unfortunately the ToughDrive is pricy. Similar products, such as Seagate's 5GB USB 2.0 Pocket Hard Drive, are available for around £65. By Alan Lu Sponsored Links
