MP3 players don't come much smaller than Creative's MuVo Micro N200; without its rubber case it's no bigger than a box of matches. It's a stylish player, available in white or black, but both versions have mug-me white earphones.
The Micro's design leaves room for only four controls. Most basic functions are intuitive, although there's no dedicated switch for locking the keys, and the MediaSource software makes organising tracks no easier than using Explorer. The small display shows basic ID3 tag information, but its backlight produces audible interference.
Sound is otherwise fine. Most people will want to experiment with EQ settings to beef it up a little, and treble response is flat.
The Micro is a decent player that comes in four capacities up to 1GB. The 256MB version we looked at has space for around five albums, but the higher-capacity models are better value.
