This hard disk is made of anodized aluminium, keeping fan and disk movement noise to a minimum. It fits in a briefcase but it uses an external power supply, which must also be carried. It connects through USB Hi-Speed or FireWire 400 and installs easily. A button activates an auto-backup routine through Dantz Retrospective Express. However, if you have a scheduled backup, this button can launch any application. With 16MB integrated cache, it's no surprise it achieved high transfer times in our tests. Using the USB Hi-Speed interface, small files averaged 3.2MB/s, while large files averaged 23MB/s. The OneTouch II is easy to install and is fast and cost-effective. By David McKinnon SPECIFICATIONS:
