The new 3D view gives you free reign over camera angles. You needn't feel overwhelmed, though, as the 'learn to play' feature of this game is easy to understand and is an excellent idea for first-time players. Once you get past the basics, almost every aspect of a Sim's appearance is controllable, leaving you to decide how beautiful or hideous your creation is. You can also take each one of your creations from the cradle to the grave, watching how your decisions affect their growth. It's not without its drawbacks, though. Loading times are slow and saving a game takes a ridiculous amount of time.
