Product ReviewsRemovable Storage
If you find your USB key doesn't have enough storage on it, Sony's Micro Vault Pro is a decent alternative. Its 2GB of storage should cope with most demands. About the thickness of a deck of cards, with the footprint of a business card, it is larger than a USB key, but will slip into a pocket or bag. There's also a protective case in the box, which you'll want to carry, as the Micro Vault Pro uses a 1" hard disk; a drop could damage the disk and destroy your data. Our tests showed that the Micro Vault was capable of 4MB/s transferring large files and 1.1MB/s reading small files. It's around half the speed of flash memory devices, which is disappointing for those doing a lot of transfers. However, it's currently cheaper than its flash alternatives and worth considering if you need a little more storage when on the move. By David Ludlow SPECIFICATIONS:
