Product ReviewsRemovable Storage
Freecom's USB Card is a flash drive with a difference. Rather than hanging from your keyring, it's designed to fit in your wallet. It is the same shape as a credit card and less than four millimetres thick. A standard USB connector folds out of the card on a short cord, making it easy to connect to a hub or even the rear of your PC, provided there aren't too many cables in the way. Performance is double what we're used to from a flash drive. Our test files transferred at a snappy 2.7MB/s. Unusually, the card comes with a suite of simple software programs. These are supplied on a CD and the card itself, and include a utility for checking your POP3 email account and two security programs, which allow you to encrypt sensitive files on the card in case it is lost. These utilities don't justify the price, but for some users the unique shape and great performance may do. By Tom Royal SPECIFICATIONS:
