As the world's biggest seller of computers, the company has come in for its fair share of criticism over its customer service and support. The blog is said to be inspired by Channel 9, a blog set up by a Microsoft employee with the blessing of the powers-that-be in Redmond as a way of putting a human face on a big corporation.
The Dell blog will be written by a number of employees.

One long time critic of Dell, Jeff Jarvis says it is 'filled with promotions for Dell's wonderfulness', while Steve Rubel says 'failed to get the blog going the way that they could have'
Ex-Channel 9 blogger, Robert Scoble, who knows something about fending off the rotten tomatoes when writing from within an unpopular big corporation, advised Dell's critics to 'give them a couple of weeks to get settled into their new homes before we start lobbing rocks through their front windows'.
