The Cyber-shot H5 and H2, Sony's latest digicam offerings, are the first digital still cameras from the H-series to combine Carl Zeiss 12x Optical zoom with Double 'Anti-Blur' technology. It is designed to reduce the risk of camera shake even in difficult shooting conditions such as low light with the inclusion of 'Super SteadyShot' optical image stabliser.

ISO can be controlled fully by the photographer, a welcome feature for those who like to be creative.

The Carl Zeiss lens gives you a 35mm equivalent of 36mm-432mm focal length at f2.8-f3.7 and has a macro feature that allows you to get as close as 2cm. As well as the 12x Optical zoom you also get up to 57x VGA Smart Zoom and 24x Precision Zoom.

Incorporated into the camera is a 3-inch LCD screen which has a smooth anti-reflection layer to make viewing your images clearer.

Sony's Cyber-shot H2 differs only slightly from the H5. Instead of being a 7.2 Megapixel camera it is a 6.0 and offers a 52x VGA Smart zoom with a 2-inch LCD.

Both cameras offer 30mb of internal memory or an option to store your images on a Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick Pro Duo. High speed USB 2.0 and PicBridge support make printing your photographs quick and easy.

Pricing of both cameras has yet to be announced but the CyberShot H2 will be available from the beginning of April, and the CyberShot H5 from the end of May 2006.
