The MacBook Pro range is powered by Intel Core Duo processors and comprises two models both with a 15.4in, 1440x900 widescreen display and 667MHz frontside bus. Both have ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics, a slot loading DVD burner and a built-in iSight camera for webcasting and video messaging. They cost £1,429 and £1,779 respectively.

They also include a full-size backlit keyboard, AirPort Extreme wireless networking (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, ExpressCard/34 slot, dual-link DVI video out, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, FireWire 400 and optical digital and analog audio in/out.

And there is a new MagSafe Connector for the power supply: a magnetic plug that both ensures a tight connection and enables a clean break from the power port, preventing the machine from being pulled off of a desk if the cord is accidentally tripped over.
