All the companies are offering GeForce 7800 GTX PCI Express (PCIe) graphics cards that feature 256MB of DDR3 memory with a 256-bit memory bus and are capable of a maximum resolution at 2048x1536 (at 85Hz), and have display outputs including video in and out (VIVO), HDTV, DVI-I, D-SUB.
In addition to the four makers, Biostar, Chaintech Computer, Gainward, Prolink Microsystems and Sparkle all began listing graphics card products supporting the new Nvidia GPU on their websites once Nvidia announced the availability of the 7800 GTX on June 22.
In related news, Nvidia also announced that its SLI (scalable link interface) technology is now available for users in the mainstream market, with the introduction of the GeForce 6600 GPU.
Motherboard makers including Albatron, Asustek, Biostar, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry), Gigabyte, MSI have recently introduced new NVIDIA nForce4 SLI-based motherboards for both AMD and Intel CPUs to the mainstream market, according to Nvidia.
