Keyboards go multimedia 5:34PM, Tuesday 20th August 2002
Logitech has designed new keyboards to act as multimedia controllers, as well as input devices.

Both the Elite and Internet Navigator keyboards have the ability to control media playback, such as MP3 files and DVD, through the use of specialised function keys. These two high end models come with both USB and PS/2 ports, and are compatible with Windows 98 onwards as well as Mac OS X. They feature integrated navigation tools for web browsing, such as a browser back button and one touch access to web sites.

Also announced is Logitech's Access keyboard, a cheaper plain coloured model priced at £15 designed to complement budget PCs with a PS/2 connection. The Internet Navigator, which retails for £25 comes in white with blue highlights. Both models are available now from Logitech's Web site. A release date for the Elite model is not yet available.
