Calling all Part Time Authors...

They say everybody has got a book inside them waiting to be written, but if you lack the time or attention-span needed to write a whole book, why not just write 100 words?
Throughout the course of today, BBC Online is asking visitors to contribute 100-word chunks of creative writing to an ongoing interactive story taking shape on its Interactive Short Story page.
With eight aspiring authors having contributed to the evolving epic so far, style and content veer about wildly.
One moments our heroine (Mercedes) is being wined and dined at a top club by her upper-crust lover, the next she is "fingering the reassuring bulk of the Heckler and Koch machine sub pistol tucked into her garters".
According to the BBC, the completed version of the story will be published online along with a title and a list of contributors.
