X-Vision's XWLIR costs £58 including VAT but needs a separate receiver, which costs £34. It's suitable for outdoor use but has only a 14cm power cord. We'd prefer at least 60cm to allow the power adaptor to be connected indoors. A mount is included, and you can select between three channels using a hidden switch.

We received a good picture with sound from up to two rooms away, but beyond that the picture was poor. In our day test the camera produced a greenish but acceptable picture, although it had a narrow field of view. At night, only the centre of the picture was adequately lit.

It's not perfect, but this is a cheap way of adding a wireless camera to your network.
