Swann's DIY Security Camera is tiny. It measures less than 30x30x30mm and has a small microphone built in. Its 2m cable plugs straight into a TV and has phono outputs for composite video and audio. It needs power from the supplied mains adaptor or a 9V battery. Although it feels sturdy, it's not fully weatherproof.

The camera comes with two lenses. Fitting its wide-angle lens produced one of the widest fields of view in the group, making it ideal for covering a large area indoors. In our daytime test the colours looked strange, but it still captured our intruder in plenty of detail. It has no infrared illuminators or night mode, so it failed to spot the intruder in our night test.

This is a simple, cheap camera that's ideal for indoor daytime use.
