BenQ's E2003WA is the most expensive of the 20in widescreen monitors, but it has the worst image quality of the four. We had to try a few different colour modes before we settled for sRGB, which was the only one that came close to a natural look.
We noticed banding in both our colour and greyscale gradient tests. This could affect how smoothly transitions between images are displayed, although we didn't notice any problems in our game and video tests. The E2000WA displays very deep blacks, but white screens had a yellow tinge and greys appeared slightly green, despite our best efforts to eliminate this ugly effect.
The onscreen menu is fairly easy to use, and although the buttons are a little out of the way on the side, they're clearly labelled on the front of the bezel. The monitor looks good, with clean lines and a backlit power button in the middle of the bottom edge, but the integrated speakers sound poor and the stand only tilts. The E2000WA's below-average image quality makes it poor value.
