Asus VW202s   [Computer Shopper]

Asus's VW202s is easily the most stylish of the 20in monitors, and its image quality belies its price. The screen needed some initial setup, but thankfully the buttons are clearly labelled and easy to access on the front of the monitor. The menu is one of the most comprehensive we've seen, with all sorts of preset modes to try out.

The monitor has only analogue inputs, but that didn't seem to hinder it in our tests. We noted a very slight amount of light bleeding through at the bottom of the panel on a black screen, and our greyscale tinting test showed a bit of a reddish hue. Our gradient tests showed smooth transitions between shades, though, and colours were vibrant.

The 5ms response time made for smooth motion in our videos and games, and the monitor displayed our test photos with a high level of detail. This is an impressive 20in screen, but its images aren't quite as vibrant and sharp as those of LG's L204WS and not as accurate as those of ViewSonic's VX1940W.
