LabsPATA hard disks
Seagate's 500GB Barracuda 7200.10 disk was the best PATA disk in our last hard disk Labs (Shopper 233). It had the best performance of all the PATA disks here when writing large files and reading small files. Sadly, it was the second-slowest PATA disk at writing small files. Western Digital's Caviar SE16 500GB has similar performance but was more consistent, making it the better buy. SPECIFICATIONS:
