LabsPATA hard disks
Western Digital's 500GB PATA disk did well in our large file tests, where it was only marginally slower than Seagate's Barracuda. Its performance in our small files tests was respectable and it was quicker at writing small files than the Barracuda. The Caviar is £9 cheaper than Seagate's disk and is a more consistent performer, making it the better buy. SPECIFICATIONS:
