Shure's SE310 earphones look very sleek when compared to the square lines of the SE210 model, but there are a few differences to their audio design and appearance. The most significant is the tuned bass port, which allows low-frequency sounds that would otherwise be lost inside the earphone's housing to be directed towards your eardrum. This doesn't create a much more powerful bass sound, but instead means that these earphones are capable of producing a slightly wider, more subtle range of low notes. This will probably only make a noticeable difference if you're listening to CDs or very high-quality audio files on a high-end player. Like the SE210 earphones, these have astonishing clarity and balance that's excellent for any kind of music. However, casual listeners will find little to distinguish between the performance of the SE310 set and that of the cheaper SE210 earphones. If you're a serious audio enthusiast, this set may be for you, but the cheaper SE210 earphones are a better buy for most. SPECIFICATIONS:
