To kick off, the Olympus FE-115 offers up to 5 megapixels of image quality coupled with a 2.8x optical zoom, 28mb of internal memory. There's a 'one button, one function' design for ease of use as well as five scene modes with their own descriptions and a movie mode. If you're into taking pictures close up, there's also a Super Macro, which can get as close as 2cm.

All this is housed in a lightweight silver body and will be available from February at £120.

The slim lined Olympus SP-320 boasts more functions and versatility. With 25 preset scene modes there's also a Programme mode, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and full manual exposure control, plus a choice of manual or automatic focussing allowing

the user complete creative control. It has a 3x optical zoom, a 7.1 megapixel CCD sensor, a 2.5-inch LCD screen and a RAW file format option.

Definitely one for the advanced user this digicam will be available in April at £250.

And if that wasn't enough Olympus have also launched a stainless steel waterproof digicam. Like the others the Mju-810 offers functionality and versatility in a slim design. Packed with the 20 scene modes and movie function there's a 3x optical zoom and an 8 megapixel CCD. This camera also employs Olympus's 'BrightCapture' Technology, which makes nighttime shooting easier. The increased sensitivity of the CCD results in night shoots being perfectly exposed without flash.

For this digital camera you'll have to dig deeper into your pockets. Priced at £350 it will be available in March.

Finally, the Olympus FE-160, which will be exclusively available at Dixons, Currys and PC World, is another camera aimed at the novice. It contains a similar array of features to the FE-115 but has a 6 megapixel CCD and a 2.8x optical zoom. Available in April the price is still to be confirmed.

All the camera's have xD slots and are compatible with the latest generation of Olympus High-Speed xD-Picture Cards, which offer faster data transfer rates.
