Patricia Grainger was sexually assaulted before she was killed in 1997 at the age of 25. Daniel has launched the site to coincide with the anniversary of her death, urging people who may have information to come forward.
He also wants South Yorkshire Police to re-open the case, as he believes advances in modern DNA technology may now provide a breakthrough.
"I hope that because of advances in science and technology, her killer can be found," he said. "I hope someone out there will come forward to help put my mum's killer away and to let her rest in peace and to allow me and my family to continue life the best we can."
The website has seen so much traffic that Grainger has had to suspend the website and get a dedicated server.
