Photo inkjet printers

As well as A4 document print tests, we print a set of colour photos to test the printers' reproduction of skin tones, dark colours, low contrast areas and subtle shading. A3+ printers are tested with high-resolution A3 colour and black-and-white images. We list how long it took each device to print six 6x4in and two 10x8in photos. We work out document costs according to the manufacturers' quoted ISO/IEC 24711 page yields. Photo costs are estimated from these figures, as a photo yield testing standard has not been established.
