Ten techs to watch in 2008 12:41AM, Monday 31st December 2007
Stay ahead of the game as we reveal the technology buzzwords for the next 12 months.

The technology world changes at such a rapid pace that predicting what's going to be big next month, let alone next year, is a challenge. Who, 12 months ago, would have predicted that Britons would be flocking to Facebook in their millions or that IBM would have launched its own free office suite?

Nevertheless, PC Pro has stepped up to the plate to forecast what will be attracting attention on the technology radar. We make no apology for the fact that many of the technologies listed below have already launched - we're forewarning you of the products that are going to make their mark in 2008, or technologies that every IT manager is going to need to make a decision about in the coming year. We're not hopelessly betting on the rank outsiders that no-one's heard of and will likely evaporate before they ever make it to market.

You can evaluate our track record by reviewing our tips for 2007 on the 'How did we
