This is an adaptor with a difference: plug your PC into the master socket and your peripherals (or extension leads, which are fully supported by the Intelliplug's design) into the two side plugs, and when you switch off your PC, or put it in standby mode, the power will be shut down to peripherals too. As we showed in last year's Switch IT Off campaign, this can save more than £100 a year (yes, really) for a typical home setup. The Intelliplug from OneClick is smarter than most, as it looks for patterns of power usage rather than simply cutting off the power when it drops below a set threshold. It also benefits from basic surge protection. Quite simply, every home should have one - and PC Pro readers have more reason than most, as you can benefit from exclusive free delivery if you order via OneClick's online shop (note: to be able to purchase the Intelliplug, you need the following code: On3cl1ck).

Break after time

I ordered 10 of these for a small business. So far 6 of them have broken in the space of a year. I have contacted the supplier and they have refused to reply. I have even sent one back but still no contact. Nice idea for a product, poorly executed and even worse customer service.
