KT Micro AGP review

Verdict

Proof that AGP can work with Socket 7, the Micro AGP is made from popular, good-quality components, making it a good-value buy. If 3D doesn't interest you, look elsewhere, but for cheap AGP this is a pretty good deal.

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

With the AGP Diamond card and a Pentium/233 you'd expect a respectable level of 3D performance from the Micro AGP. Direct3D games ran at smooth frame rates, with all the usual 3D texturing and filtering features turned on. Standard 2D application performance is reasonable for a Pentium/233 system, although an AMD K6 machine of the same spec would still outpace it. Overall, as a budget system for 3D enthusiasts, the KT represents good value.
