We'd wager that of all the hundreds of thousands of laptops out there with ExpressCard slots, most of them lie dormant. One way to fill yours is with a TV tuner such as this hybrid DVB-T/analogue model. It slots into a free ExpressCard/54 slot and is unobtrusive until you need it. Then it's simply a matter of clipping the portable aerial to your laptop screen and connecting it to the card. In the box is an IR receiver plus software for recording and timeshifting TV (it's also compatible with Vista MCE). Reception was solid and picture quality excellent, but we weren't impressed with the software or the EPG, which didn't pick up any useful program info.
