Parallels Desktop for Mac

Verdict

Windows virtualisation that really works: it isn't without foibles, but it's a great way of running Windows from OS X

Review Date: 1 Oct 2005

Price when reviewed: (£43)

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

There are a few other downsides: support for USB can be erratic and is limited to USB 1.1 speeds; the documentation and interface could use sprucing up; and present Vista builds aren't supported. Nevertheless, Parallels is by far the most convenient way to run Windows alongside Mac OS X we've seen.
