Actinic Express
Verdict
Actinic Express is a fantastically easy-to-use and versatile entry into the growing world of online commerce. For creating a basic web store, there's nothing to beat it.
Review Date: 17 Feb 2006
Price when reviewed: (£59 inc VAT) plus monthly fee of £20 (£23 inc VAT)
Overall Rating

Actinic's full-blown Catalog product costs £379 (exc VAT), plus hosting and cover. Although a year's Express use will cost you close to this, the substantially easier interface and setup procedure make it the more natural option for smaller businesses and those with less specific needs. And, while competitive products such as Sage Web Trader (www.sage.co.uk) and Get Trolleyed (www.get-trolleyed.co.uk) offer a more comprehensive set of features, they're significantly more complex and expensive to set up and maintain. For unparalleled ease of use and a great way of creating a simple but effective web store, Actinic Express comes highly recommended
