While other Cloud storage services have their eyes on the home market, Tilana has its targets set on the enterprise crowd. There's a free account with online backup to the tune of 2GB and synchronisation of unlimited computers, but it expires after 12 months.

For $50 (£35) you have a choice of unlimited storage for one computer or 30GB of space for unlimited computers, with additional space available at 50? per gigabyte per month.

While other services rely on usernames and passwords, Reserve asks you to install the client on each PC, enter a specific code into each client then accept additional clients from the first system connected.

Once that's done, you have to set up synchronisation relationships between folders on different machines, creating them on one then setting them to sync on others. This gives you full control over synchronisation. You can even decide which file types within a folder sync and which don't. This comes at the expense of ease of use, although it's worth noting that it automatically defaults and syncs the Desktop and My Documents folder.

Collaborative features are a strength, with the ShareLocker feature controlling synchronisation of files and folders between friends or colleagues working in a team. You can decide how and when shared files sync back with those stored on your own PC.

For those who like manual control, Tilana is a solid choice. However, we found that, at times, the service needed nudging before it would synchronise files, despite notifying us that the files needed updating, and when synchronisation did happen it was slow. So it isn't the ideal service for everyday use.
