Microsoft Expression Web

Microsoft has set itself a difficult task and this first release of Expression Web is likely to upset many upgrading FrontPage users who may prefer something like NetObjects Fusion 10. It's also unlikely to convert many Dreamweaver users. In the long run, though, Expression Web successfully lays the ghost of FrontPage to rest and provides much firmer foundations on which Microsoft can build. When more modern technologies such as AJAX and XAML, and especially the full Expression Studio, are added to the mix, Dreamweaver might even find itself outmanoeuvred by its new streamlined rival.
