Tenomichi 3D Edit Gold 4

Verdict

The interface is more friendly, but the 3D hardware-accelerated effects remain its most compelling feature

Review Date: 18 Jan 2007

Price when reviewed: (£40 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

If you like to play with video special effects 3D Edit 4 provides lots of fun, particularly impressive considering its price. As well as being available separately, 3D Edit Gold 4 is also part of the 3D Media Center Gold bundle, which includes a selection of other utilities for the same price. However, although the version included with 3D Media Center Gold is the same as the standalone, Tenomichi told us that free updates for this version will be more professionally oriented, such as offering more shaders with greater precision and control. So, die-hard video editors should still choose the standalone 3D Edit, while the more occasional user will be better off with 3D Media Center.
