The panel to the right of the drive bays in the picture can be replaced with an extra 8-drive expansion bay.

Dell R710

Can you confirm the Dell R710 has 2 x SD for hypervisor redundancy?

The (more expensive) R810 does but I can't find anything from Dell relating to the R710 having the same feature.

I've just had an online chat with a Dell rep and they say the R710 only has 1 x SD.

It is the R810 that has redundant slots.

Dual SD Card

I've spoken to Dell about this. The dual SD card option came out some time after the R710 was launched and it appears Dell has now decided not to retro-fit one to this server.
However, it did advise me that the next generation R710 will have this feature.
