HP's Power Meter adds power consumption tables in the iLO2 web interface, plus controls for the Power Regulator and Power Cap features. A static lower power mode throttles back the CPU to its lowest power state, while the high-performance mode throws all energy savings to the wind. Dynamic power saving sets lower or higher p-states based on utilisation, while capping sets a limit on power usage.
The DL360 G6 is a little powerhouse with very good storage potential. It's good value and larger sites trying to keep their utility bill under control will approve of HP's new power management and monitoring services.
