The MSC Report section provides an useful flowchart-style graphic showing clearly what each storage pool has in it and which compute modules the virtual drives are assigned to. There are options to provide for running diagnostics, viewing events and exporting the data into XML, Excel and CSV formats.

Notification options are extensive: you view each predefined policy definition and decide its severity, the logging level and whether a notification email should be sent if it is triggered.

The MultiFlex MF6000 offers a more cost-effective and quieter alternative to HP's c3000 (web ID: 145308) and IBM's BladeCenter S. It delivers impressive features and quality remote management and its storage options offer integrated SAN services, plenty of expansion and good fault tolerance.
