Epsom Perfection V350 photo

This is a generally adequate machine. Ok for flat bed scanning "reflective" documents. The facilities for scanning negative however are not up to scratch (pardon the pun). Negative are cropped severely and there is no apparant way of increasing the scan area. Turning off the "thumbnail" mode scans the entire film strip making it difficult to set a sensible crop area. Scan area in thumbnail mode is 22.3 x 32.4 mm this is 16% by area and about 10% by length of the original. It is however mercifully quick (some scanners for home use are dreadfully slow).
