Corsair HX 620W

Verdict

A modular supply for enthusiasts, but not the most luxurious of products.

Review Date: 3 Mar 2008

Price when reviewed: (£79 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
5 stars out of 6

The Corsair HX 620W (number 8 in the image) is aimed at enthusiasts, and it certainly oozes quality, with its low-key red-and-black design, whisper-quiet fan and five-year warranty.

We weren't keen on the modular cables, though, which are all black and look slightly cheap and plastic.

Its three +12V rails weren't clearly distinguished, either, but that shouldn't be a show-stopper: each can nominally provide 18A, but Corsair's power-sharing system diverts power between rails as needed.

Add ten Molex and five SATA connectors and you get a lot for your money.
