From around the web
This is an area where I believe multitouch screens should be used more effectively.
The LCD panel that flips up should house all controls, if possible.
As a Bonus idea, it would be great if I could see the document I'm scanning in the LCD panel and then move or zoom into the precise area that I wish to be scanned - its amazing nobody has done this yet. Plus would love to see it in photocopiers too! Imagine that you can see the image is the right way up too before you scan it so you can flip it over while at the panel and crop it exactly how you want.

Great printer, shame about the support
Have had this printer for the year and was happy with it up to about 2 weeks ago. All of a sudden warning about ink pads being service appeared - looking at the Epson site it basically says when these go it is a write-off of the printer. I'm a light user, and being so I expect more than a year out of a printer this price. Contacting Epson support about the problem has led to 0 response - just sent of a whinge which I'm not expecting to be answered only. Very very disappointing service. Summary: fantastic printer/scanner, but beware the long term and hope nothing goes wrong as Epson don't have customer service to speak of.

I have this you are correct when pads go its a write off but ring epson support and for £33-00 they will send you a new one then go to ebay buy the Zip 4 £4-95 to reset the printer you will also have to take pads out buy a ink container ( about £9)and Printer is perfect again + you now have 2 printers do this every 3 months sell them and your laughing. lol
