A good-value scanner with a decent software bundle, but the quality isn't up to the same level as Umax's excellent Astra 1220S.

Undeniably, the Black Widow 9636 HiRes is good value for money. The price tag of £199 for a scanner with this specification and such a good software bundle is extremely reasonable. However, you shouldn't let numbers and specifications cloud your vision, because the quality of the 9636 isn't quite up to scratch. The best in this price bracket is still the Umax Astra 1220S.
