Kyocera Ecosys FS-600 review

Verdict

A compact, sensible small printer capable of reasonable output quality and adequate speed. Commendable for its low environmental impact, modest running costs and reasonable purchase price.

Text quality was entirely acceptable at 600dpi, with the default level of edge smoothing enabled, especially when you remind yourself how inexpensive the FS-600 is. Graphics were reasonably good, but the image enhancement trickery actually made little perceptible difference overall. Kyocera's FS-600 provides commendable competition to HP's LaserJet 6L, not least in terms of its low running costs, and is worthy of serious consideration.
