Zalman Trimon ZM-M220W review

Verdict

A 3D monitor that actually works - it's especially tempting for the well-heeled gamer.

We're surprised too that Zalman is initially putting all its efforts into gaming, although 3D design and CAD application support should be forthcoming.

Teething problems aside, the ZM-M220W represents a hugely attractive new technology for early adopters. It isn't a bad 2D monitor, either, with a 1,680 x 1,050 resolution, accurate colour tone and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. There's little point paying the £366 price (double that of a normal 22in TFT) if you don't intend to make extensive use of the 3D technology, so it's largely for gamers with fat wallets. But if cutting-edge movies such as Beowulf are released on DVD in 3D, monitors like this could easily become a must-have for entertainment buffs.

Incomplete review

I would think that most people would be interested in using this to view YouTUBE videos in 3D. Wouldn't a test of the various 3D viewing methods YouTUBE offers been more usefull?
THANKS!
