Terratec Noxon 2 Radio for iPod

Verdict

Review Date: 13 Aug 2007

Price when reviewed: (£201 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

The latest incarnation of the Noxon 2 media streamer adds a feature many have been waiting for: an iPod dock. It supports third-generation iPods and onwards, including all nanos. Another feature that's been a long time coming is the 2.1 speaker base, which sits underneath the main unit and draws its power from the Noxon. It boasts impressive audio quality in small- to medium-sized rooms. There are a number of ways to get at your music: you can use both wired and wireless networking, or the USB port for playing tracks from a hard disk or flash drive. Of course, you can play music straight from your PC as well. However you play your music, though, you still have to use the display to control playback, which is too slow to refresh, and suffers from unintuitive menus.
