palmOne Treo 650 review

Internet access comes courtesy of the Blazer web browser, which offers a PDA-optimised page layout or the full, desktop page that you'll need to scroll left and right to view all the content. This works well enough, allowing you to make your way round the Web with ease. The same can also be said for the phone application, which includes nice big onscreen buttons for simple finger-tapping and a set up that, like the rest of the operating system, lets you control the phone with the five-way joypad without having to draw your stylus.

This is a well-designed and effective business smartphone that's a match for RIM's BlackBerry 7100 range or the Sony Ericsson P900. Its QWERTY keyboard and Palm OS are both potentially attractive, but with no other killer features palmOne is going to have a tough time converting non-Palm users to its cause.
