This universal PSU offers numerous benefits over a straight replacement from your notebook manufacturer.

The first is its size: at 155 x 75 x 16mm (WDH) it's much slimmer than the average supply.

Second is its flexibility: although we found it didn't support some very recent laptops, the vast majority will be; check for compatability at www.pcpro.co.uk/links/169fsp.

It even has a USB port for charging an MP3 player, say, at the same time as your laptop.

The only other notable feature is an LCD display to help you select the right voltage, but it's a shame this is necessary - Kensington's 70W AC/DC supply detects this automatically.

Also note that Kensington bundles a European adapter, FSP doesn't. With both costing the same, we know which we'd choose.
