You can take some reports from the system, such as lists and totals of income and expense accounts, plus the same for money accounts. Usefully, you can also export these reports to Microsoft Excel or Word.

You'll need to use this facility, as there's no profit and loss/income and expenditure-type reports showing how much you've made. Nor is there a VAT report that shows what you need to fill in the boxes on the tax return, just a list of transactions per VAT code.

In effect, these missing facilities provide the totalling capability that should be the reason for using a computer instead of simply writing in a paper cashbook. Although you can add Sales/Purchase and Contacts at extra cost, CashBook Manager still lacks some important features and misses the boat because of it.
