Adobe RoboHelp 7 review

Verdict

An enhanced interface plus support for FrameMaker and multiple languages help give RoboHelp a new lease of life.

Review Date: 6 Dec 2007

Price when reviewed: (£974 inc VAT); upgrade £49 (£58 inc VAT) from version 6, otherwise £419 (£492 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
3 stars out of 6

After the recent concerns over RoboHelp's future, existing users will be reassured by the new support for Vista, Word 2007, IP6 and Unicode. Their loyalty is also rewarded with a low upgrade price from version 6. With Technical Communication Suite integration, users can even be cautiously optimistic about its longer term future. However, after a long period of neglect, RoboHelp remains overpriced and with a lot of catching up to do.
