Verdict
All the features you could ask for, but it’s severely let down by a half-baked interface

For those readers living in Ireland, LIDL have the 1TB version on sale this week for 180 EUR. With current exchange rates about £152.
Of course, what I really want is: Hard Disk, Wireless connection, possibility of recording TV from my satelite dish (freeview) and terrestrial stations (Irish channels). Any recommendations?

I have the Techgear MB901 here in HK. It has hard disk capabilities (comes without, it's BYO), accepts wireless with an adaptor (I use a wireless g one, not sure if it would work with wireless n or not) and has Video in and out connections as well as an HDMI in connection so it could solve your issues.

Is for the HK distributor. And shows you the connections.
The original interface was fairly clunky and it comes with a non-flashy remote control, but upgrading the firmware gives a much better interface.
Navigation through programmes is a little slow, there's no way to search, but seeing as there's no way to input text anyway that's not surprising.
It also works without any complications with my Harmony 650 remote so you can get rid of a couple of remotes if they're invading your living room.
I'd love for a quicker way to get through files, both on disk and network, that might come with future firmware upgrades.
