Belkin Flip DVI-D

Verdict

Review Date: 18 Sep 2007

Price when reviewed: (£64 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
5 stars out of 6

KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switches are never going to be glamorous devices, but Belkin's Flip range ditches the traditional grey desktop box to provide one of the more discreet designs we've seen. With the main bulk of the unit hidden behind your desk, all you need to switch between inputs is the tiny remote control. This version handles two USB inputs (for keyboard and mouse), a DVI-D video connection and a 3.5mm audio jack. At just over 2m, there's plenty of length in the cabling, and Belkin also supplies an extension lead for awkwardly placed laptop audio ports. As ever, KVM doesn't come cheap, but if you can't make do with a Remote Desktop session this is one of the best options we've seen.
